The general goal of nuclear safety is to protect individuals, the society and the environment by determining and maintaining efficient protection against nuclear hazards. Meeting the requirements of nuclear safety is top priority to JAVYS.
Sprísňovanie environmentálnych zákonov, plnenie cieľov a priorít štátnej environmentálnej politiky, narastanie záujmu zainteresovaných strán o problematiku trvalo udržateľného rozvoja, ako aj zvýšenie konkurenčnej výkonnosti a zodpovednosť za znečisťovanie, núti organizácie prehodnotiť svoj stav a zaviesť účinné a efektívne manažérske systémy.
The operation of the V1 was reliable, safe, ecological and economically advantageous and it confirmed the soundness of the company’s decision to generate electricity using these means. This can further be documented by the results of some technical-economic indicators.
In accordance with the Slovak Republic Government resolution No. 801/1999 and selected alternative for immediate decommissioning, the two V1 NPP units were definitively shut down in line with relevant Time schedule.
During its twenty-eight years of service, the V1 NPP was a pillar of the electric network of the former Czechoslovakia and of the Slovak electric network right after the foundation of the Slovak Republic.
The Government of the Slovak Republic adopted the pledge to shut down units of V1 NPP, gradually, Unit 1 in 2006 and Unit 2 in 2008.
Control over public procurement carried out by Recipient of financial means from the EU Funds is performed by the National Agency in line with the Act on Public Procurement No. 343/2015 Coll. the National Agency performs control of the contracts to which the Act on public procurement does not apply or which it defines in §1 of the Act on public procurement.
